Zero100 has launched Peerworks, an operator-led initiative for supply chain practitioners working on agentic AI. The programme begins with founding council members from Google, Meta, PepsiCo, Toyota Motor North America, Pfizer and more than 20 other brands.

Peerworks is built around three practitioner councils, each with about 15 members, that will examine end-to-end workflows across supply chain functions. Their work will inform a playbook on technology, process and people for companies seeking to build what Zero100 describes as agentic supply chains.

The launch reflects a broader push to move beyond isolated artificial intelligence projects and apply AI across planning, sourcing, inventory and service operations. It is aimed at practitioners below C-suite level who work directly in those processes, rather than senior executives setting overall strategy.

Three councils

The councils are organised around Zero100's PowerThreads framework: Signal-to-Plan, Source-to-Supply and Inventory-to-Service. Zero100 describes these as workflows that cut across traditional functional boundaries.

The structure is intended to address a long-standing supply chain problem: planning, procurement, manufacturing and logistics teams often work to different targets and use separate systems. Peerworks brings together executives and senior operators trying to reconnect those functions through AI-led workflows.

The output will be based on the direct experience of participating companies and their wider networks. Zero100 presents the effort as a response to strong interest in agentic AI and the limited practical guidance available to large companies with established systems and processes.

Olly Sloboda, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Zero100, said: "We built Peerworks to help supply chain professionals bridge the information gap that exists around agentic AI: lots of promise and consultant hype, but less practical guidance on how companies are successfully scaling. This is particularly true for large, complex global companies with existing supply chains that need to be rebuilt and where there isn't the luxury of designing from scratch - there's a legacy tech stack, talent and workflows. Our Peerworks Councils will deconstruct the 800-pound agentic supply chain gorilla into practical and realistic steps based on the real-time experience of the people who are doing the work and share it with the Zero100 community and profession at large."

Operator focus

Peerworks was conceived with Zero100's advisory board, which includes Chief Executives, operations leaders, supply chain heads and technologists. Zero100 has positioned the initiative as an industry-wide collaboration rather than a single-company research project.

Rather than focusing on one-off use cases, the councils are expected to examine how AI systems can link decisions and actions across a broader chain of activities. That could include moving information from demand signals into planning, sourcing decisions into supply continuity, and stock management into service performance.

The inclusion of companies such as Google, Meta, PepsiCo, Toyota Motor North America and Pfizer suggests the project is drawing members from both technology groups and large industrial and consumer businesses. All operate complex supply chains with significant global footprints and multiple internal functions.

Santhosh Srinivasan, Vice President, Application Engineering at Google Devices & Services and a member of the Peerworks Council, said: "The full potential of agentic operations won't be realized by individual use cases alone. By bringing different perspectives together, we can connect the dots and build a more complete view of where the technology can create value across the supply chain."

Supply chain shift

The launch comes as supply chain leaders face pressure to improve resilience, cost control and service levels while managing ageing technology estates and fragmented operating models. Many large companies have invested heavily in software for planning, procurement, manufacturing and logistics, but those systems have often remained separate in both data and decision-making.

Agentic AI has emerged as a term for systems that can sense changes, make decisions and trigger actions with less manual intervention. Supporters argue this could allow supply chains to operate across traditional functional hand-offs, although many businesses are still in the early stages of testing how that would work in practice.

Peerworks will gather lessons from companies already experimenting with that shift and turn them into a working guide for the wider profession. The councils will meet throughout the year and produce a live playbook grounded in operational experience rather than theory.

Founding council membership is by invitation and includes representatives from Google, Meta, PepsiCo, Toyota Motor North America, Pfizer and more than 20 other brands.
