Vineet Khanna joins FourKites to drive global supply chain innovation
Vineet Khanna, former Senior Vice President and Global Head of Supply Chain at Nestlé, has joined the Strategic Advisory Council of FourKites.
Khanna, who is based in Switzerland, brings nearly four decades of international experience in strategy, supply chain, procurement, and digital transformation. He will provide the council with strategic guidance regarding global expansion and innovations in sustainable supply chain management.
During his 25-year tenure in senior roles at Nestlé, Khanna managed end-to-end supply chain operations, overseeing projects ranging from demand and supply planning to physical logistics, sustainability, digital transformation initiatives, customer service, and materials management. He also served as a board member of Nestlé Enterprises and held positions at country, regional, and global levels.
"The reality of fast-moving consumer goods is that you're dealing with razor-thin margins and the ongoing risk of spoilage," said Vineet. "Traditional supply chain technology platforms just can't keep up when you're managing thousands of SKUs. But by combining order and inventory twins with AI-powered automation, FourKites is helping teams prevent problems and overcome the constant fire-fighting of problems that can erode those already-thin margins."
The Strategic Advisory Council at FourKites aims to convene supply chain executives with extensive practical experience, reinforcing FourKites' intention to address the real-world challenges that supply chain leaders face. The council's remit includes making recommendations to ensure that company offerings meet genuine market needs.
Mathew Elenjickal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FourKites, highlighted Khanna's understanding of the link between supply chain efficiency and business performance.
"Vineet understands that supply chain excellence directly drives market share and profitability," said Mathew Elenjickal. "He's operated at the intersection of supply chain and business strategy, where information gaps translate into lost revenue and customer defections. His guidance will help ensure our AI platform delivers what C-suites actually care about: protecting service levels during disruptions, reducing working capital tied up in safety stock, and automating workflows that can impact the bottom line."
Khanna's appointment comes as FourKites continues to grow beyond its original real-time visibility platform. The company's Intelligent Control Tower now integrates supply chain network data with digital twins and a digital workforce of artificial intelligence agents. These technologies are designed to autonomously interpret data, prevent supply chain disruptions before they occur, and coordinate complex operations.
Beyond his tenure at Nestlé, Khanna has played a notable part in industry-wide sustainability efforts. He co-chaired the Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative at the Consumer Goods Forum, promoting social and environmental best practices throughout the sector. He also remains active in Catalyst 2030, where he supports social entrepreneurs working towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. Currently, he advises companies, private equity firms, venture capitalists, and startups across various aspects of strategy and transformation.
Regarded internationally as a thought leader, Khanna is frequently invited to address global audiences on subjects including business leadership, supply chain management, and environmental and social governance. His education includes an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and advanced studies at IMD Lausanne and London Business School.
