Consistent Infosystems launches ASTRA & ORBIT wireless mice
Consistent Infosystems has launched two wireless mouse models, ASTRA and ORBIT, expanding its peripherals range in India.
Aimed at users who switch between multiple devices for work, study and everyday computing, both models support dual connectivity via Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless and use Type-C charging.
Each mouse includes a compact nano receiver and is compatible with Windows and macOS. Consistent says the wireless range extends up to 10 metres, placing the products in the mainstream office and home-use segment.
Product details
ASTRA is positioned as the simpler of the two models. It offers adjustable 1600 DPI settings, six keys and plug-and-play functionality. Its body features a soft TPE double-injection finish intended to improve grip during longer sessions.
ORBIT adds forward and backward navigation buttons as part of its six multifunctional keys. It also offers adjustable 1600 DPI settings, a rechargeable battery and a soft TPE coating, targeting users who want more shortcut controls in day-to-day workflows.
The launch reflects continued activity in the accessories segment, where brands are responding to demand shaped by hybrid work patterns and the growing overlap between personal and professional device use. Wireless peripherals remain a competitive category in India, with companies seeking to stand out through design, charging options and compatibility rather than major changes in core function.
Consistent has positioned the two mice around practical features such as rechargeable batteries, wireless flexibility and ergonomic design. Support for both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connectivity allows users to pair with different devices without relying on a single connection standard.
That approach fits a market in which laptops, tablets and desktop systems are often used side by side. Cross-platform support has also become a more prominent selling point as households and workplaces increasingly mix operating systems.
Company expansion
The release of ASTRA and ORBIT comes as Consistent broadens its product catalogue beyond its established presence in IT hardware, surveillance products, networking equipment, print consumables and consumer electronics. For many hardware suppliers, peripherals are a natural extension that can drive repeat purchases and wider retail visibility.
Founded in New Delhi in 2011, Consistent says it has built a footprint across India through a network of branches, service centres and channel partners. The company reports more than 25 branches, over 93 service centres, more than 400 direct employees and exports to over 17 countries.
It also says it works with 3,795 channel partners across India, offers a portfolio of more than 693 products and serves more than 5.5 crore customers.
Industry recognition also featured in the company's recent profile. Consistent says NCN named it the Highest Selling Motherboard Brand 2024 and Best Indian IP Camera Brand 2024, while IT Voice recognised it as the Fastest Growing Gaming Brand 2024 and Best Brand in Solar Camera Category 2024.
Those awards align with a strategy focused on covering a broad range of electronics categories rather than specialising in a narrow set of devices. In that context, wireless mice are a relatively accessible addition, with lower price points and broad appeal among both consumer and business buyers.
The two new models also reflect how peripheral makers are adapting features once associated mainly with higher-end products. Rechargeable batteries via USB Type-C, support for multiple connection modes and greater attention to shape and surface materials are increasingly common in everyday accessories.
Commenting on the launch, Yogesh Agrawal, CMD and Co-Founder of Consistent Infosystems, said, "With ASTRA and ORBIT, we are focused on delivering a seamless blend of precision, comfort, and connectivity. These products are thoughtfully designed to support the dynamic needs of modern users, whether for work, learning, or everyday computing."
