Tusk unveils operations platform with $2m seed boost

Yesterday

Tusk Logistics has announced the launch of its Tusk Operations Platform, a solution designed to provide shippers with proactive control and real-time visibility over parcels delivered by alternative carriers.

The rollout of this platform comes alongside the company's recent successful acquisition of $2 million in seed funding. The funding round was led by Ivy Ventures, with participation from firms such as TitletownTech and Forum Ventures, and aims to support the continued development of the Tusk Operations Platform.

Ben Emmrich, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tusk Logistics, spoke about the advantages of the new platform. "For the first time ever, shippers can manage all their alternative carriers through one unified platform," Emmrich explained. "This gives them the ability to proactively solve delivery issues before they affect customers and the visibility they need to fully leverage the flexibility and cost savings alternative carriers offer."

The Tusk Operations Platform promises to alleviate some of the challenges faced by shippers who use multiple alternative carriers. Some of the key features include proactive delivery management, streamlined claims filing, and real-time visibility. Furthermore, the platform offers instant access to carrier rates and coverage, alongside actionable insights to help refine shipping strategies and improve returns on investment.

Scott Kraege, Managing Partner at Ivy Ventures, outlined the significance of the platform in addressing inefficiencies within the logistics sector. "Tusk addresses one of the most overlooked efficiency gaps in supply chain operations," Kraege said. "By unifying multiple alternative carriers under a single platform, Tusk unlocks a powerful new frontier of growth and margin for shippers."

Tusk Logistics has been providing solutions to connect shippers with alternative parcel carriers since 2021, offering up to 40% savings on per-parcel costs when compared to major national carriers. This new platform represents a further step in simplifying the logistics process for shippers.

Emmrich also expressed the broader vision for Tusk Logistics and its services. "This is only the beginning," Emmrich stated. "Tusk is building a shipping infrastructure that empowers every shipper—from ecommerce startups to global 3PLs—to seamlessly access top alternative carriers and cutting-edge logistics tools, all in one place."

The introduction of the Tusk Operations Platform will be extended to all existing Tusk shippers, providing them with enhanced logistics capabilities. The company continues to champion the usage of alternative carriers, promoting their benefits of lower costs, faster deliveries and more flexible logistics solutions.

Tusk is an access and operations infrastructure that puts shippers first through its nationwide network of trusted alternative carriers. Tusk provides shippers with a reliable solution beyond major national carriers and its shipping technology offers up to 40% of saving per parcel. Tusk's platform gives shippers access to pre-negotiated rates, seamless software integrations, and proactive shipment support, all in one streamlined solution. By removing the complexities of managing multiple contracts and integrations, Tusk aims to help businesses capitalise on the benefits of alternative carriers: lower costs, faster deliveries, and enhanced flexibility.
