OPPO India has brought forward the first sale of its Find X9s and Find X9 Ultra smartphones by two days.

The change follows strong customer response and pre-booking interest after the devices launched in India. Both handsets will be available through the OPPO e-store, Flipkart, Amazon and mainline retail outlets nationwide.

The earlier sale gives OPPO a quicker retail start in India's premium smartphone segment, where brands often use pre-orders and launch offers to convert early demand into sales. OPPO linked the change to customer enthusiasm, with no change to the product lineup or pricing.

The Find X9s will be available in Sunset Orange, Lavender Sky and Midnight Grey, with a choice of 12GB RAM and 256GB storage or 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The Find X9 Ultra will come in Tundra Umber and Canyon Orange, in a single 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration.

Prices start at INR 79,999 for the Find X9s with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version is priced at INR 89,999, while the Find X9 Ultra with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage costs INR 1,69,999.

Product details

The Find X9 Ultra features a 6.82-inch QHD+ ProXDR AMOLED display with a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,600 nits. The Find X9s has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,600 nits of peak brightness and symmetrical 1.15mm bezels.

Camera hardware is a key point of difference between the two models. The Ultra includes a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 200MP 3x telephoto lens, a 50MP 10x telephoto lens, a true colour camera and a 50MP front camera.

The Find X9s has a rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP 3x telephoto lens, along with a 32MP front camera.

The two devices also use different processors. The Find X9 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform, while the Find X9s uses MediaTek's Dimensity 9500s.

Battery sizes are similar across the lineup. The Ultra has a 7,050mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, while the X9s has a 7,025mAh battery with 80W wired charging.

Both phones carry IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings and have Swiss SGS five-star drop-resistance certification. Each device will ship with ColourOS 16 and receive five years of operating system updates and six years of security updates.

Launch offers

OPPO is offering a range of financial incentives around the first sale. Customers buying through the OPPO e-store and mainline retailers can get up to 10% instant cashback through card and UPI offers from SBI Card, HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank, IDFC First Bank and Yes Bank.

No-cost EMI options are available for up to nine months. Exchange bonuses of up to 16% are also available through Cashify and Servify.

Zero down payment plans for up to 24 months are available through lenders including Bajaj Finserv, TVS Credit, HDB Financial Services, IDFC First Bank, DMI Finance, Cholamandalam Finance, Home Credit and Poonawala Fincorp. OPPO is also offering a 180-day hardware defect replacement programme.

Other bundled benefits include three months of Google AI Pro access with 5TB of storage, as well as Jio-linked benefits worth INR 35,100 for eligible users on qualifying unlimited 5G plans. Those users also get 5,000GB of cloud storage for 18 months and access to Pro Gemini through Jio.

India market

The earlier sales start comes as smartphone makers continue to target Indian buyers willing to spend more on advanced camera systems, larger batteries and longer software support. Premium launches increasingly rely on online marketplaces as well as physical retail networks to expand beyond major urban centres.

OPPO has built a broad device portfolio in India across the Find, Reno, F, K and A series, alongside internet of things products. The company is headquartered in Gurugram and operates a manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, spanning more than 110 acres.

According to OPPO, the plant is one of India's largest mobile manufacturing facilities, with multiple production, assembly and testing lines. The site can dispatch hundreds of micro parts to produce about 200 smartphones in under 10 minutes.

Bringing forward the Find X9 series sale suggests OPPO sees enough demand to put stock into the market sooner while keeping its original pricing and promotional package unchanged. The range enters stores in India at a starting price of INR 79,999.
