Codeless Platforms unveils Amazon Connector v1.0 to ease Amazon Seller Central integration
Software solution provider, Codeless Platforms, has announced the release of its Amazon Connector v1.0, a crucial integration tool for businesses that need a simple method of connecting Amazon Seller Central to third-party systems.
The release comes as a response to the approaching decommissioning of the Amazon Marketplace Web Service (MWS), set to retire on 31st March 2024. The new software leverages the capabilities of Amazon's new Selling Partner API (SP-API), the official successor to MWS, and will help businesses avert possible service disruptions as Amazon urges all developers to migrate to SP-API.
The Amazon Connector v1.0 removes the necessity for scripts by providing a simple user interface. The software allows sellers to write and retrieve data from Amazon Seller Central marketplaces, including sales orders, stock levels, product information, and pricing details. All data is validated in compliance with Amazon's business rules, preventing accidental corruption through miscues due to unfamiliarity of these rules.
Amidst the benefits, the new SP-API includes several enhanced data protection and security features, marking a new generation of API for programmatic access to Amazon.
Codeless Platforms' Amazon Connector offers broad functionality allowing sellers to synchronise data between their Amazon stores and third-party systems. These include, but are not limited to, downloading and retrieving sales orders or product information, uploading inventory changes, obtaining reports on marketplace activity, and more, the company states.
For merchants leveraging Fulfilled by Amazon's (FBA) storage, packing, and shipping services, Amazon Connector natively supports the function. Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) services, an option for sellers who handle all storage, shipping, and customer support independently, are supported if their Private SP-API Developer account has Direct to Consumer Shipping permissions granted by Amazon.
If a marketplace activity demands Personally Identifiable Information (PII), like order fulfilment or report requirements, access to such data is strictly controlled by Amazon's policies. In such cases, a Private SP-API Developer must secure the requisite permissions.
A key feature of Amazon Connector v1.0 is its ability to synchronise data between an Amazon store and third-party systems. Other noteworthy features include a drag and drop facility for mapping BPA Platform data to an Amazon store, visual links for easy identification of mappings between the incoming data and outgoing data to Amazon, and the ability to save partial connections for users to complete configuration at a separate time or export a connection without its current authentication credentials.
The company notes Amazon Connector v1.0 requires BPA Platform 2021 or above to be in place before installation. Amazon Connector v1.0 is supported on Microsoft Server Versions 2016 and higher. Installation and configuration is not supported on Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2.
